The General Prosecutor’s Office filed a Cassation for Annulment before the Supreme Court of Justice in which it points out that a decision issued in 2020 on convicted persons constitutes a “flagrant violation of fundamental rights and freedoms” stipulated in the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR).
Thus, the prosecution upheld the defense arguments concerning the “violation of the right to a fair trial” of the convicted, guaranteed by the article 6 par.1 ECHR. The lawyers of BAA „CEACHIR, ZAMFIR & Partenerii” represent the convicted in this case.
The Supreme Court of Justice has to decide on the Cassation for Annulment filed by the
General Prosecutor’s Office and defense.
