Lawyer Nataly Zamfir from BAA “Ceachir, Zamfir&Partnerii” took part in elaboration of
the shadow implementation report of the Aarhus Convention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Moldova ratified the Convention on access to information, public participation in decision-
making and access to justice in environmental matters (Aarhus Convention) on 7 April 1999,
becoming the first country to do so and also one to hold the first meeting of signatories in
Chisinau between 19 and 21 April 1999.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significance of the Aarhus Convention is interlink environmental and human rights by
placing a right to clean environment among basic human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
